11th November 2005 – “Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace”
Guests arrived at the Guards Museum from 18:00hrs and were offered Champagne and canapés whilst they toured the museum. Plasma screens strategically placed through the museum showed trailers of forthcoming releases and information on the launch title. By 18:40hrs everyone was gathered in the Royal Gallery ready for the Launch. Major General Sebastian Roberts spoke at the start, by way of introduction, setting the scene and providing a brief background to the development of the production. The scene was then set for the Preview DVD to be played. Guests were entertained throughout with selected clips taken from the 81 minute programme. These were intended to provide the audience with a really good feel for the programme and the end of the programme was met with spontaneous applause. There then followed a question and answer session and once this was underway it was obvious that our new release had generated a lot of interest with many retail outlets and organisations involved in tourism asking about availability, supply and point of sale material. The evening concluded with many conversations, further drinks and guests seemingly reluctant to leave as the atmosphere generated was so positive.
